Covering the study of US literature from its origins through the present, American Literary History provides a much-needed forum for the various, often competing voices of contemporary literary inquiry. Through essays, position papers, and commentaries, along with reviews, interviews, and previously unpublished diaries, letters, and stories, it surveys the contested field of US culture four times a year. In Spring 2008, Viet joined the American Literary History Editorial Board.
