Winner of the Pulitzer Prize

Viet Nguyen at Hitotsubashi University, March 26th, 2013

Viet will present a lecture on “Transpacific Studies: Interventions and Intersections” at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, on March 26th, 2013. The lecture is based on the introduction to his forthcoming anthology, co-edited with Janet Hoskins, on Transpacific Studies: Framing an Emerging Field (University of Hawaii Press, 2014). In this introduction, he and Hoskins present a model for considering the flows of peoples, cultures, ideas, and capital across the Pacific, between Asia and the Americas.
